“ Coin Haus is like a mix between Barrel Republic and Coin Op. They have self-serve beers on tap (charged by the ounce) along with a ton of games to play. The space lends itself to a fun time! It's a great gathering space and the set up is definitely stand out. There's a big storage container in the center that houses all of the taps. As you walk around the container, you can find a bunch of different beer options along with a few ciders and kombuchas. You scan a card to pay by the ounce, so you can get as little or as much as you want. Behind the container, there is a wall full of different arcade games. You can jump into Mario Kart or play any of the driving or shooting games. Lots of fun options, but all for adults! This place is 21+ so all the video games and fun are for the big kids! Besides all the activities they have going on, the food itself is actually delicious! Their pizzas are delicious and they have so many unique options. This is a CRG restaurant along with Surfrider Pizza right next door, so the food is quality! Last but not least, the staff deserves a shout out. They are so fun and friendly. Working here looks like a great time! All around stand out spot and the perfect place to enjoy a brew! ”
“ Stopped in around 5 on a Saturday to a relatively empty establishment. In any other city I'd be worried...but in San Diego area, I'm just relieved I don't have to wait for a table. We showed up, traded credit cards for Coin Haus cards and got to pouring. Keep your eyes on that per ounce price, there was a mistake on my pour that was quickly remedied. We ordered wings and pesto bread. I would say...maybe eat somewhere else. It wasn't terrible, but also not quite noteworthy food. I think the draw of the place is more the cool pour yourself a pint aspect. We loved the video games, and the cargo box of kegs. It felt like a funky place to bring out of town visitors. We may come back again, it would be perfect for after a day of walking around and shopping throughout downtown la Mesa. ”
“ If you're looking for a place where you can challenge your date to an pac man game and pour your own IPA, this arcade is it. Picture neon lights, retro vibes, and a self-pour station that makes you feel like a sommelier with commitment issues (beer, wine, or seltzer--why not all three?). The food? Let's just say the cheese and bread options are dangerously good--like, "whoops, we're eating our way through the pong budget" good. Service is solid, with staff who are quick to explain the pouring system and make sure you don't accidentally fill your cup to the brim with something questionable. Pro tip: bring someone who can appreciate a little friendly competition. Nothing says "romantic spark" like crushing them at Ms. Pac-Man. Perfect for dates, post-work hangs, or just proving your Mario Kart supremacy. ”
“ Pro tip: Free game play on Sundays! Other deals as well throughout the week. This place is always a good time with many taps (pay per ounce), games, and food available from Surf Rider Pizza. It's not huge but has enough games to keep you entertained, tvs to watch whatever game happens to be on, and food/drink as needed. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. ”
“ Fun spot located in La Mesa Village! Great service and lots of variety. They don't have hard liquor but their rice wine cocktails are tasty. They also offer food from their partner restaurant, Surf Rider, nearby. I tried their Paloma and it was very refreshing! ”
“ What a fun spot! It's an arcade with a good selection of beers and ciders with a few wines to choose from. I love the concept of being able to try so many different ones using a card. We grabbed our drinks and played games while we waited for our food. I wish there was a bigger selection of arcade games. The surf dude salad was very fresh and adding the chicken was great. I wish there were more ingredients in it as it was a lot of lettuce, but still great. We ordered the cheesy bread and that had good flavor and tasted fresh as well. I'm glad it had the marinara sauce on the side as well. The cheesesteak was big and had great flavor. It was a bit spicy and we were overall very happy with our food! The service was great as well and she explained how everything worked. She mentioned that the food would take 25-30 minutes which was much appreciated, but it allowed us to play games. Street parking. ”
“ Love this local treasure! I came here on a Wednesday (which was 50% all games) and it was not crowded at all (***probably due to the rain). It's a very small spot to drink and play arcade games, but is very unique with its self-serve tap system. You use a card to pour your drinks and at the end of your visit, you pay your tab (prices per ounce depends on what drink you get). I took my brother here for his 21st birthday and he loved it. He has autism and doesn't like too much noise but loves people and games. It was the perfect place to celebrate with a party of 7 and the staff was super helpful and understanding of his first experience in a bar setting. Shoutout jose! They don't have much food unfortunately so just plan accordingly, but you can order pizza and the pizza place next door delivers it! ”
“ Coin Haus is a great spot for a cold beer and awesome retro video games. And to my surprise, all video games are free on Sundays. Coin Haus is a great spot to hang out. With over 45 drink options to choose from (mostly beer, but they also have wine options), you will not be disappointed. And the best part is that you have control of the pour. If you want to sample a drink, pour yourself a small portion. If you know what you like, pour yourself a pint. Coin Haus also has other drink options at the bar. Also, you are able to order food items from the local pizza place (Surf Rider Pizza Co) and they will deliver it here. The service here is pretty simple. You open a tab and off you go. Everything is controlled by the card you are given. Coin Haus is a great spot to hang out, have a cold drink, enjoy delicious food, and play awesome retro games. I'll definitely be back. ”
“ Such a chill ambiance! Alcohol & games, it's like a mix between a brewery and Dave & Busters. The alcoholic beverages range from stouts, ipas, sours, and ciders. They don't have much food aside from pizza, no finger foods but their pizzas are huge & filling! ”
